The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire’s Entrepreneurs Challenge is an annual competition that gives emerging businesses in Hertfordshire the chance to pitch their ideas to leading experts and compete for a tailored support package. Hosted during the Hertfordshire County Show, the challenge is designed to accelerate the growth of local start-ups.
The competition is now in its 7th year and interest is stronger than ever. This year’s participants attended the Herts County Show to exhibit their ideas in competing for the prestigious winner’s slot.
Across the two-day show, the teams had the opportunity to showcase their work, pitch to a prestigious panel and meet some fantastic people and businesses.
Congratulations to all of the brilliant finalists and everyone involved in the event. The atmosphere throughout the weekend was incredible, with over 38,000 visitors attending the County Show.
The Lord Lieutenant said, “Now in its seventh year, the Lord Lieutenant’s entrepreneurs’ challenge saw a record number of entries, all of high quality. The winners were the Inclusive United CIC and the runners-up were Tuckfield Estates. The one to watch category was taken by Reclaimer Industries.”
There was a strong presence from the Hertfordshire Lieutenancy, with many deputy lieutenants attending throughout the weekend.
