ABF Curry Lunch 2026

Jane McCue DL was delighted to represent the Lord Lieutenant at the Army Benevolent Fund Curry Lunch held at Haileybury on Sunday, 18th October. The event started with an inspection of Welwyn Garden City Army Cadet Detachment, 2 Company, Beds and Herts ACF. After lunch guests heard Chris Leworthy gave a very engaging presentation on Operation Chastise, better know as The Dambusters Raid, which was undertaken by 617 Squadron. Chris bought home the skill, the bravery, and the youth of the men who went on the raid. The photo taken in the Atlee room where the lunch was held shows the Deputy Lieutenant along with Nick Brown, Chairman of the Hertfordshire ABF, Chris Leworthy and the cadets.
