The Lord-Lieutenant attends Holocaust Events across Hertfordshire

The Lord-Lieutenant attended 6 Holocaust events including 4 presentations to over 400  school students over 2 days in St Albans Cathedral. At each he gave different accounts of his family’s history in Nazi Germany.

He said – “Listening to so many stories of survival in Germany, Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia. And Darfur is chilling and yet inspiring and a great honour to meet a number of brave survivors telling their stories.

I am also delighted that the three  main Holocaust education organising agreed to come together for the event at The Cathedral which I hope we will repeat next year.”
