Deputy Lieutenant Kate Belinis visited the Society of Caribbean and Africans based in Waltham Cross, where they held an amazing and special exhibition of memorabilia from their communities ranging from personal belongings brought over including furniture and biographies of their life since they settled locally.
Thanks to Patsy Spears and her communities who were on hand to explain the many exhibits, and tell their stories directly. There was entertainment by a singer with his own style of music and lyrics.
Kate said the contributions made by the elders/seniors are truly memorable. The Lowewood Museum in Broxbourne was the perfect setting for such a celebration.
