Welwyn Hatfield Holocaust Memorial Service

Vice Lord-Lieutenant Ant Chapman represented the Lord-Lieutenant at the Welwyn Hatfield Holocaust Memorial Service on 25 January 2024. Also in attendance was the Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Cllr Pankit Shah. Held in Welwyn Garden City two days before Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January, the theme this year was ‘fragility of freedom’. The service reflected on the challenges faced by millions of people worldwide who suffer from prejudice, discrimination and hostility because of their identity.
