The Lord-Lieutenant presents the QAVS to Computer Friendly

On Monday 3rd August 2020, the Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants Penny Williams, Stuart Nagler and Akhtar Zaman attended the presentation of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services to Computer Friendly, a local charity.

To ensure safety from COVID-19, the ceremony was held outside the West Door at the St. Albans Abbey with appropriate social distancing.

In attendance with the Lieutenancy representatives were the charities Trustees and volunteers, the ex-Mayor of St. Albans Rosemary Farmer who nominated the charity, and the Dean of St. Albans Dr Jeffrey John.

The Lord-Lieutenant presented the award and certificate to the Chairman of Trustees Tony Bourke.
