On 14th June, Marion Brown DL visited the Sandridge Parish Council Community Garden in Marshalswick. This is a delightful ‘gem’ located near the Quadrant shops and residential area. Managed by volunteers and sponsored by the Parish Council the garden offers a range of fruit and vegetables including a Chinese section, which local residents are welcome to enjoy. Benches provide a place to sit and enjoy the garden and the signage encourages everyone, especially children, to appreciate what is growing throughout the seasons as well as providing information about bees and butterflies that frequent the area. Parish Councillor Jennifer Robert is pictured with her knitted crown which was used as a postbox topper for the Coronation.
