Lord-Lieutenant visits Bishops Stortford College

After an extensive tour of the campus-The Lord-Lieutenant planted a tree at Bishops Stortford College to celebrate their 150^th anniversary.

During the day long visit he met many of the pupils aged 4 -18 as well as a number of the staff. “ I remember playing rugby and cricket against Bishops Stortford College when I was at school but that was nearly half a century ago…and how the school has developed since then…!

The facilities enjoyed by the pupils are outstanding and I was made to feel very welcome”.
