Harpenden Town Council Civic Service 2021
Harpenden Town Council held its Civic Service at St Nicholas Parish Church on 12th September 2021 in the presence of The Town Mayor of Harpenden, Councillor Paul Cousin and was conducted by The Reverend Canon Dr Dennis Stamps, Rector of St Nicholas Parish Church supported by the clergy of other local churches.
Attending the service were Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, David Williams; The Right Worshipful The Mayor of the City and District of St Albans, Councillor Edgar Hill and Mayoress Caroline Jane Lee; The Vice-Chair of Hertfordshire County Council, Councillor Annie Brewster; and the Mayor of Luton, Councillor Mahmood Hussain.
The service reflected The Town Mayor’s theme for his year “Volunteering” and included contributions from children from The Lea Primary School.
