Opening of the Lord Lieutenant Charity Hub at Hitchin Youth Trust
The Lord Lieutenant was extremely proud to open the 2nd Lord Lieutenant Charity Hub at Hitchin Youth Trust.
This has taken over 2 years of discussions since the first visit and suggestion of a charity hub to Helen and the trustees. The trustees then visited to see and loved what was being done at the 1st Charity Hub in Leavesden (now permanent home to 14 charities), and after refurbishing their building, it finally opened with 6 charities now able to call it “Home.”
The 6 charities are:

Stand By Me
ELSA Next Generation
Barnardo’s Ubuntu Hertfordshire
3 Nines
The Lord Lieutenant is also delighted that the 2 Hubs will be undertaking some initiatives together or in collaboration with each other…the true meaning of synergy…!
The Lord Lieutenant said – This is such a boost for small charities and I would love to open 2 more—in the East and West of the county—so if anyone knows of any suitable location that we could use—in perpetuity—please let me know.”
