Hertfordshire Zoo Native Species Festival

Annie Brewster was delighted to open the Native Species Festival at Hertfordshire Zoo on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant on the 19^th May 2026.

The festival showcased the importance the zoo places on our native species, what a fundamental part of our lives they are and highlighting some rare and endangered reptiles and amphibians. Native wildlife talks, birdwatching trails, bug hotel building demos, bee pollinating game and Sand Lizard feeding sessions ….. fabulous!
