Broxbourne Talent Competition
The inaugural Talents in Broxbourne competition was held at Hertfordshire Studios in Hoddesdon on 5th February 2026. Karen Trew DL was delighted to be asked to join the judging panel, alongside the Mayor of Broxbourne, Cllr Patsy Spears, the Leader of Broxbourne Council, Cllr Corina Gander, and film producer, John Forrest.
The competition was organised by Cllr Sherrie McDaid and was the final of a music and competition across the six secondary school in the Borough of Broxbourne. There were 15 acts in this final and the three winners were invited to perform at the Borough of Broxbourne’s community awards, the BOB Awards, in March.
In addition, the overall winner will receive mentoring and support from the Charlotte Dove Performing Arts Trust.
This was a really enjoyable evening and a professional showcase of outstanding talent in the arts from young people across the Borough of Broxbourne.
