Catching the Chain Exhibition opens in St. Albans Museum

On 10th October 2024, Deputy Lieutenant Adam K Ginder attended the “Catching the Chain” Exhibition at St. Albans Museum on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant and Hertfordshire Lieutenancy.

The exhibition designed and built in conjunction with HACRO, The Hertfordshire Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders, explores the history of law and order, imprisonment and justice in St. Albans across the last two centuries.

The Deputy Lieutenant met with the Museum curator Sarah Keeling, Catherine Newley and HARCO’s Tony Franklin. During the visit there was an opportunity to experience the size of a prison cell, built to scale by attendees of HARCO.

The exhibition is open until April 2025.
