Trooping the Colour 2023

Category : Events

Hertfordshire Youth United were delighted to attend the two Trooping the Colour events this year; the Colonel’s Review on 10 June and the King’s Birthday Parade on 17 June. The events were attended by 90 young people from the 8 youth organisations in the county which include St John Ambulance, Girlguiding and the Police, amongst others.  The Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ and Mrs Voss found time to chat with a number of the young people attending the King’s Birthday Parade.

Major Moynham from the Army Cadet Force said “The parade itself was amazing to witness and be so close to His Majesty and the Royal family as they were riding past us. The cherry on top; being escorted to the front of the palace after walking down the mall, is a memory the cadets and adult volunteers will not forget.

The Lord-Lieutenant and Celia were delighted to meet all the young people from Hertfordshire attending the event.
