Tour of the Therfield Heath Nature Reserve.

On 26th June 2021, Vice Lord-Lieutenants Richard Beazley and Deputy-Lieutenant Richard Woolfson were given a tour of the Heath by The Friends and Conservators of the Therfield and Greens near Royston, talking about the flowers (including the rare Pasqueflower, Pulsatilla Vulgaris), butterflies and other insects, and the work they do to conserve this wonderful chalkland heath.

Therfield Heath is an area of Common Land and most of it is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is owned by the Therfield Regulation Trust, which is a registered charity. It is managed by the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens.

Both Richards thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
