Tannerswood Primary School Platinum Jubilee Poetry Competition

On 6 July Deputy Lieutenant Jo Connell was delighted to hand out the prizes for the Platinum Jubilee Poetry Competition at Tannerswood Primary School. The competition was sponsored by the Watford Lions and Watford Lions President Mrs Gita Mistry and Immediate Past President Mr Gulab Mistry were also present. The 229 children from five schools wrote poems to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. There were three winners from each school, one among them was the overall winner. All the children receive a certificate. The poems have been made into five books and will be sent to the Queen as a gift.
