Stevenage Mayor’s Multi-faith Gathering

On 10th May Deputy Lieutenant Akhtar Zaman was delighted to attend the Stevenage Mayor’s Multi-Faith Gathering at the Grace Community Church, Hydean Way, Stevenage SG2 9XJ. Many faiths and groups participated in a moving service ably led by Rev. Nicola Martin-Davis on behalf of the mayor, Nazmin Chowdhury and consort, Kier Omar Williams.

Following the readings, people were asked to pour different coloured wax into a jar to illustrate the rich and varied experience of the participants. At the end the jar was presented as a gift to the mayor.
