The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Her Majesty’s personal representative in the County, sends his deepest condolences to the Royal family and he supports honouring the memories of Her Majesty.

So saddened by our Queen’s passing. What an incredible legacy, Great Britain will never be the same again. We had a little moment we’ll always remember when she came to open the new maternity unit at Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The crowds were waiting for a glimpse of her Majesty along the main roads whereas we just happened by fluke to be in the right place at the right time as on an alternative quieter road we pulled over as the Queen’s car passed us she smiled and waved as we stood by our car, a very special memory.
