It was with great sadness I heard of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II yesterday evening. The Queen was the only monarch many of us knew, and she was an example and role model for leaders and ordinary people across the world.
She served and did her duty, unflinchingly and without complaint for 70 years, watching as the world changed at rapid pace, never failing to keep up. We will remember with fondness the moments we saw her personality shine, whether at the Olympics with James Bond, or taking tea with Paddington.
At this time I also send my condolences to her family. I am truly sorry for your loss, for the nations loss.
