The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Her Majesty’s personal representative in the County, sends his deepest condolences to the Royal family and he supports honouring the memories of Her Majesty.
It was the saddest news to heard of your passing on 8 September 2022. I am still in overwhelmed disbelief. You have been a constant throughout my life and I am glad that I was born during your great reign. You were a true inspiration to us all. Your grace, wisdom, strength, devotion and duty are a true example of what we should all strive for. Although my parent’s origin was not British, I am proud to be born in England and to call myself British. I had fond memories of you in your lovely yellow outfit many years ago... Read more

It was a great honour to have been given the chance to pay my final respects during your lying-in-state. Thank you, your majesty, you are unique, irreplaceable and will forever be my Queen.
