Hertfordshire’s Book of Remembrance for
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

To our beautiful and amazing Queen – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Words can’t describe how I am feeling inside right now. The moment I hear your passing, somehow I can feel my heart stop beating. For as long as I can remember, you have always been part of my life since I was a toddler, my mother told me I share the same birthday as you, “21st April”. My parents have always been busy working, never having much time for me, I never had a birthday celebration when I was young, not until I am older enough to organise my own birthday celebration at my 17th birthday. I feel sad and empty every time when it’s my birthday when I was young. “Why can’t I have a birthday celebration like other kids in my class”. So instead, I watched the TV and I saw the whole nation celebrating your birthday broadcasting live on TV. There is one part of me that feels so lucky I shared the same birthday as you because watching everyone celebrating your birthday brings me joy and happiness, somehow the feeling of emptiness is gone. I feel like at one point the whole nation is also celebrating my birthday with me. You are almost like a mother to me. You have always been in the background of my life. In 2014 I lost my mother, then in 2020 I lost my father, and now you have gone too. This feels like the whole world, the time has stopped, everything is changing, it will never be the same again, it is like one era of my life is closed forever. The day you died felt one part of me died along with you too. I have seen you twice in my life that will remain in my heart forever, first time was when I was young when you visited the Imperial War Museum and the other time was when it’s your 90th birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace. I’m also happy I went to London to watch the “Trooping the Colour” and “Platinum Jubilee Pageant” celebrations along The Mall and Buckingham Palace back in June. Your Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, thank you so much for everything you have done for us, your country Great Britain, the Commonwealth and the World. You are a true inspiration to us all. For being a constant source of consistency and strength in our lives, and for your tireless devotion and service for the past 70 years of your reign. Your majesty, you are and always will be my Queen, you will be sorely missed. You are incomparable, you are timeless, and you are eternal. May many Angels of the highest light surround you on your journey. May you rest in eternal peace ? ❤️... Collapse
