The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Her Majesty’s personal representative in the County, sends his deepest condolences to the Royal family and he supports honouring the memories of Her Majesty.

It is hard to believe that back in 2011, I was a member of "Republic". I couldn't quite grasp the concept of paying tax to a lady I had never met, never likely to meet and I was struggling to make ends meet. I am not sure when my epiphany happened, however, I am glad it did. I had the privilege of serving in the Police force for 13 years where HM The Queen was referred to as "the boss" and would be met with her photo in police stations. The moral here is, I am thankful for a constitutional monarchy and proud that HM The Queen had such standing in the world but especially in the Commonwealth.
