The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Her Majesty’s personal representative in the County, sends his deepest condolences to the Royal family and he supports honouring the memories of Her Majesty.

Our family is deeply saddened at the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, a friend and mother from afar. She was our figurehead of national unity and stability at a time of enormous change and uncertainty and in living memory have never known a time without her. She has led at all times with a quiet determination and selfless devotion, and has been all that is the very best in us and what it means to be British and admired and loved the world over.
