Queens Commonwealth Canopy contribution at Woodcock Hill Village Green
On 26th October 2018, Akhtar Zaman Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, attended a ceremony to plant trees on Woodcock Hill Village Green in Hertsmere as a contribution to the Queens Commonwealth Canopy. The event was attended by a number of dignitaries and representative children from several local schools; as part of the ceremony 5 trees were planted and a commemorative plaque was unveiled. Following the formal ceremony the school children planted other seeds on this historic site.
Those in attendance included Hertsmere MP Oliver Dowden, Hertsmere Mayor Cllr Brenda Batten, Elstree and Borehamwood Town Mayor Cllr Victor Eni, Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council Morris Bright, Studios Rotary Club President Sandra Parnell.
