Bamboo Distribution Donate Smart Phones to the NHS
An amazing donation has been made as part of the Lord-Lieutenant’s “NHS Wishlist” initiative by Hertfordshire company and Queens Award winners-Bamboo Distribution of Waltham Abbey-who have donated 250 new Apple iPhone and SamsungS7 large screen phones with a retail value of approximately £70,000 to the three NHS Trust serving Hertfordshire.
The phones will be distributed between the West Herts, East and North Herts and PAH Trust which cover Watford General, The Lister and Harlow hospitals and will give seriously ill patients suffering from Covid-19 the opportunity to connect with their family by Skype, Zoom, Facetime etc. as well as being of great use to the nursing and medical staff.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire-Robert Voss CBE-said “This is an amazingly generous offer enabling seriously ill patients to connect with their family even in ICU. I only had to ask Bamboo’s Managing Director-Juney Mistiki once for help and he responded immediately but I was blown away by the number of phones he has so generously offered. He is truly a “Hero of Hertfordshire”. I hope other companies will follow this amazing example”.
The three hospital trusts are understandably immensely grateful.
