Prayer Gathering in Watford following the earthquake in Turkey and Syria

Following the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria, where almost 50,000 people lost their lives, Deputy Lieutenant Akhtar Zaman attended a prayer gathering on 19th February at the Watford Peace Garden. Enoch Kangaraj, Vice Chair of Watford Interfaith Association welcomed everybody.

The gathering was attended by the Local MP Dean Russell and Deputy Mayor Aga Dychton as well as leading representatives from all the local faith groups. It was a sunny afternoon and many members of the public also attended.

Three Counties Radio was also in attendance and played a summary of the event on the Radio in the evening.
