Opening of the Sensory Garden at Wormley CofE Primary School

Category : Events

On 27th February 2024, Karen Trew DL attended the Opening of the Sensory Garden at Wormley CofE Primary School by the Mayor of Broxbourne, Cllr Paul Seeby.

This excellent community project was led by Mrs Drake, the school’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator, teachers and pupils at the school. The garden was created in “Feeling Good Week” and the school were grateful for the help from numerous parents and carers who volunteered their time, including @carebylily, an adult day care service. A “Feeling Good Week” grant, a grant from County Councillor and generous and gratefully received donations from the following benefactors ensured this project’s success:

Waste Not Want Not Community Nursery (winner of KAVS), Matthew Garden Centre, East Side Garden Centre, Norse Ltd, Thompsons in Enfield, Evergreen – Waltham Abbey Landscapes, Meristem Design, Black Box signs and Moore Teachers Ltd.

This was a wonderful celebration of this wonderful community project. The pupils and volunteers from @carebylily showed us their work with pride and told us how much they had enjoyed this project.
