VJ Day Service of Commemoration in Royston

Emma Robarts DL represented the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire at an 80th anniversary Service of Commemoration of VJ Day at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist in Royston on Saturday, 14th August 2025 at 16.00.

The service was organised by Chris and Amy Murphy of the Royston Branch of the Royal British Legion and presided over by The Revd John Fidler and the curate Jaime Roberts. Victory in the Far East was marked 80 years on and honour paid to the bravery and sacrifice of the Second World War generation in defence of the freedoms we still enjoy.
