55th Anniversary of Community Development Action and 10th Anniversary of the St Albans Community Gardens

Category : Events

On Thursday, June 24, Richard Beazley DL attended the St Albans Community Gardens to celebrate the 10th anniversary of these gardens and the 55th anniversary of the Hertfordshire Community Development Action charity, which is Hertfordshire’s rural community charity.

Two very important community organisations celebrated significant birthdays having not just survived the pandemic but made significant contributions to the community during a tough time. They are an example of the very best in the community and thanks go to all the volunteers, to all the friends, to the Trustees, and to all those who have contributed so much.

Also in attendance were the Mayor of St Albans Councillor Edgar Hill and his consort.

Richard commented – It was a lovely occasion. We were shown around the gardens, had a sumptuous tea and I gave a speech of recognition and thanks.
