The Lord-Lieutenant presents the QAVS award to Sunnyside Rural Trust

On 21^st July the Lord-Lieutenant presented the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to Sunnyside Rural Trust in Hemel Hempstead. He was accompanied by Deputy Lieutenants Jo Connell and David Cansdale who had carried out the assessment of Sunnyside’s QAVS application.

The Lord-Lieutenant met a large number of volunteers, patrons and trustees as well as a number of the young people with learning disabilities working at Sunnyside. After a BBQ lunch, the Lord-Lieutenant said-“What a lovely event in the gardens of this amazing voluntary organisation  -so deserving of the Queen’s Award.”
