St Albans and District Talking Newspaper QAVS Award Presentation

On 23 September 2019, The Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to present the Queens Award for Voluntary Service to St Albans and District Talking Newspaper. Apart from about 100 volunteers and listeners present were also DLs Penny Williams (Chair of the QAVS Panel), Michael Baker and Akhtar Zaman and also the current and past Mayors of St Albans who all enjoyed a wonderful tea at St Michaels Manor. Some of the volunteers receiving the award on behalf of all had been volunteering for over 40 years.

The Lord-Lieutenant said how proud he was of all the QAVS winners and so many volunteers in Hertfordshire.
