Category : Events
On 26th November, Annie Brewster DL attended the launch of ’16 Days of Activism’ to eradicate violence against women and girls. The event was held at County Hall, Hertford, which was lit up orange as part of the #orangetheworld campaign.
Every year, the Soroptimists support the campaign 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls, which starts on 25 November and goes through to 10 December, encompassing:
  • International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November)
  • World Human Rights Day (10 December)

The focus for our 2025 campaign is preventing online violence and creating safer online spaces.

The 2025 campaign will focus on ending online violence against women and girls by promoting key strategies for prevention — including raising awareness of how online abuse happens, sharing tools for digital safety and support, and encouraging actions that help create safer, more respectful online spaces.
