High Trees Family Centre Tree Planting for the QGC
Karen Trew DL joined more than 30 families who enjoyed the “Queen Bees and Platinum Trees” fun day at High Trees Family Centre on Saturday 11Th June 2022.
The day was packed with activities for children and families including arts and crafts, sports, a time capsule and a visit by a fire engine!
Families were also able to learn about the support offered by the centre and how they could become more involved, including through the volunteering scheme.
Karen planted a baby crab apple tree as part of the Queens Green Canopy scheme launched as part of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
She was joined by Cllr Mark Mills-Bishop, Vice Chairman of Hertfordshire County Council, as well as staff, volunteers and families for the tree planting.
