HRH Duke of Edinburgh visits Elstree Studios and Haberdasher Girls School

On 4^th June the Lord-Lieutenant received HRH The Duke of Edinburgh visited Haberdashers Girls School as part of their 150^th anniversary. The entire school and staff welcomed HRH, every single person (over 1250) waving a Union Jack. The Duke very much enjoyed meeting pupils of all ages as well as listening to a song composed especially for the anniversary and other activities before opening the Edinburgh Drama Rehearsal Studio.

After lunching with the pupils, HRH signed the visitors’ book next to a page signed by his aunt, Princess Margaret, some years ago. At the end of the visit, he was waved off by the entire school.
