Hoddesdon Holocaust Service
Category : Events
Karen Trew DL attended the Holocaust Memorial Day at the Holocaust memorial at Lowewood Museum Gardens in Hoddesdon.
We understand that this is one of only two Holocaust memorials in Hertfordshire and its dedication is Remembering the Victims of the Holocaust and Worldwide Genocides.
This poignant service was focussed on this year’s Holocaust theme of One Day, and invited all those commemorating to look ahead to the future and what the world could look like when we have learned the important lessons that can be taken from the Holocaust and other genocides.
The event was hosted by Councillor David Taylor, Mayor of Broxbourne. The High Sheriff, Lionel C Wallace DL was in attendance, alongside invited guests and members of the public.
