Army Cadet Force annual Camp at Pitbright
Category : Events
On 8th August, the Lord-Lieutenant visited the Beds and Herts Army Cadet Force (ACF) annual camp at Pirbright together with the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, the High Sheriff, the Chair of HCC and others. Despite the pouring rain, the second group of 400 cadets were having a great time learning new skills, such as shooting, canoeing, and even motorcycling.
Like other uniformed youth organisations in the county, the ACF continues to grow, and thanks to almost 1200 army cadets and thanks must be given to the 210 adult volunteers who give their time so freely, including many who attended the two-week camp.
