Friends of Barclay Park welcome the new High Sheriff of Hertfordshire
The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Nicholas Buxton, was invited for a visit to the Borough of Broxbourne by the Mayor, Cllr Sherrie McDaid on 7th May 2025.
Karen Trew DL and the Friends of Barclay Park welcomed him to a tour of this beautiful 17 acre park in Hoddesdon that was gifted to the people of the town by the Barclay Family in 1935 for the silver jubilee celebrations of King George V.
The Friends of Barclay Park are volunteers who work with Broxbourne Borough Council, the local community and businesses to protect and conserve the character of the park for present and future generations.
On Easter Saturday, 19th April 2025, Karen Trew DL volunteered with Friends of Barclay Park in the Easter Egg Hunt. About 375 children and their families attended and it was great fun!
