DL visits RECOVER in Welwyn Garden City

David Cansdale DL was invited to visit RECOVER in Welwyn Garden City to see
them working to up-cycle donated furniture.

RECOVER is a vibrant social enterprise, creating pathways into volunteering
and work and offering vulnerable adults new fulfilment and purpose. They are
committed to sustainability – up-cycling old unwanted furniture or working
with materials either donated or reclaimed, with an eye to creativity and
high quality workmanship. Their work is remarkable – stunning examples can
be seen in the photograph and are for sale.

David and his wife, Judy, enjoyed being shown round by Ian Block, the
founder, and meeting volunteers hard at work on some chairs.
