Hoddesdon Candlelit Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Parish Church

Emma Robarts DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant by reading a lesson at the candlelit service of Nine Lessons and Carols at a packed Hoddesdon Parish Church on Sunday, 14th December. The church’s choir, the church’s band and a choir from the church primary school  all sang wonderfully. Revd Mark Escott presided.  This photograph was taken after the service (while the candles were being extinguished and before mulled wine and mince pies in the church hall) with the current Mayor of Broxbourne, Patsy Spears, last year’s Mayor Councillor Sherrie McDaid and other lesson readers.
