Deputy Lieutenants hold a Workshop at Ashfield School about Commonwealth Values

On Wednesday 22nd October, Deputy Lieutenants Kate Belinis and Akhtar Zaman led a workshop for Year 6 students at Ashfield School where they explored the Commonwealth Values. The children were actively involved and discussing the importance of values, including Democracy, Rule of Law, Gender Equality, Human Rights, Tolerance Respect and Understanding and Access to Health, Education and Shelter. The children debated the importance of these values and also links with the school values of Respect, Kindness, Resilience and Cooperation.

The Deputy Lieutenants were impressed with the children’s behaviour and engagement.
