Launch of Hertford Women’s Football Team

Karen Trew DL attended the official launch game for Hertford Town Football club’s women’s team on Sunday 21st August 2022. They played Leyton Orient women in a great match ending in a 0-0 draw.

The team is a young squad with about half the team coming from Meninas FC’s under 16s team and the other half from Hertford and Ware and across East Hertfordshire. The team will play in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Women’s Football League and in the FA Cup this season.

The Mayor of Hertford, Susan Barber, also attended this event. The Club was very welcoming and it was great to see the new astroturf pitch which was installed last year, the current work underway to expand the car park and hear about the exciting plans for the Club’s future.
