Queen’s Award for Innovation Presented to Silixa Ltd

On 21st September 2021, the Lord-Lieutenant accompanied by Deputy Lieutenant Akhtar Zaman was delighted to visit Silixa Ltd in Elstree to present them with the Queen’s Award for Innovation.

Mahmoud Farhadiroushan the Executive Director and co-founder of the company, accompanied by Glyn Williams the CEO and Tom Parker the CTO and co-founder gave a tour of the facility and a demonstration of the innovative fibre optic sensing system for which they have been recognised.

The visit concluded with the award presentation, meeting the rest of the team, and a delicious array of lunch.
