Pitch@Palace on Tour in Hertfordshire
A wonderful day at the Pitch@Palace Tour hosted by the University of Hertfordshire. Twenty Entrepreneurs pitched their amazing startup businesses for the right to receive ongoing support starting with a Bootcamp; Pitch@Palace gives Entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet the people who can help their dreams become a reality. The event included Business Pitches, an Alumni panel, guest speakers and opportunities to network.
The Event was attended by HRH The Duke of York, KG who founded the Pitch@Palace. He welcomed everyone including the entrepreneurs, helped with judging, and finally announced the three winners who will go onto the Bootcamp.
Since HRH The Duke of York founded Pitch@Palace in 2014, the programme has helped 785 Alumni generate £890m+ economic activity and create 3669 jobs.
The Lieutenancy of Hertfordshire was well represented by the Lord Lieutenant and several of the Deputy Lieutenants some of whom were on the Judging panel.
Well done all participants and congratulations to the three winners:
- Fluid Pharma – develops novel sustained release medicines suitable for children and older patients
- Suzero – is 100% natural, low sugar snack bar company.
- RootWave – uses electricity to zap weeds with zero chemicals. Offering a sustainable and scalable alternative to herbicide.
Fluid Pharma and Suzero have close links to the University of Hertfordshire.
