We are grateful for her faithful dedication and service, reigning as our Head of State for seventy years with grace and wisdom, for all her subjects here and all over the Commonwealth, acting as a source of inspiration and stability. Queen Elizabeth led by example, showing kindness and respect to people of all races and religions. In doing so she has enabled our country to be a safe place for all to worship according to their faith. Our weekly Sabbath prayers in the synagogue, have for centuries included a prayer for the Queen and the Royal Family. 'May the supreme King of kings in his mercy preserve the Queen in life, guard her and deliver her from all trouble and sorrow. May he put into her heart and into the hearts of all her counsellors, a spirit of wisdom and understanding that they may uphold the peace of the realm, advance the welfare of the nation. We are ever grateful that with G-d's grace, our Queen has surpassed the expression of our prayers. May the legacy of all that the Queen stood for continue to flourish and may her memory serve as an everlasting blessing to us all.... Collapse
