ABF Curry Lunch at Haileybury

Lieutenant General Sir George Pemberton Ross Norton KCVO CBE DL represented the Lord Lieutenant at the ABF Curry Lunch at Haileybury on 26^th October 2025.

Lieutenant General said, ‘It was a pleasure to represent the Lord Lieutenant at the ABF Fundraising Curry Lunch at Haileybury. The Welwyn Garden City Detachment of the ACF was particularly motivating and impressive and a key presence alongside the ABF’s generous supporters and Garry Murray RGJ, whose hard work on behalf of the community was both recognised and appreciated. And if we need an example of courage and humility, who better than James Nicolson VC – the subject of his nephew’s after-lunch address – a young man determined that he was doing no more than his duty.’
