This is just a selection of bits that some of our pubs have done over the last few weeks to help their community and further afield.

  • Bull, Broxbourne – Stock delivered to local firefighters, care homes, fruit and veg to Paradise Wildlife Park and pints delivered to their regulars
  • Dogs Head, Stortford – collected fabrics to make handmade scrubs and donated to the local hospital
  • Harrier, Hatfield – Events hall used as a basis for Food Bank for the local community. Easter Eggs delivered to regulars and their family. Whole team volunteering to help vulnerable in the community as well as raising money through JustGiving. Daily quizzes on social media to keep guests entertained.
  • Millstream, Hitchin – all food to Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Service as well as delivering hot meals to the elderly
  • Red Lion, Hatfield – to the NHS frontline and local churches to give to those that need it most
  • Long Arm Short Arm, Welwyn – home deliveries to the elderly, new phone service to call and chat to the team if lonely
  • Shark, Harlow – letting NHS staff use their car park to save having to pay to park at work
  • Royal Oak, Chingford – all produce has gone to the local homeless shelter
  • Three Horseshoes, Hooks Cross – The local community who cannot access the shops
  • Sun, Hoddesdon – Care packages to staff and residents at Chadwick Nursing Home incl Mother’s Day meals
  • Saracens Head, Ware – All produce to the Riverside Place and Ashwood Care Homes
  • Kings Mead, Ware – over 40 boxes of fruit and veg to NHS frontline workers
  • Builders Arms, Potters Bar – All food donated to Cooperscroft Nursing Dementia Care Home
  • Peahen, St Albans – All fruit and veg to Paradise Wildlife Park

Furthermore, we have now opened grocery shops in the following pubs. These are for the NHS frontline staff and the vulnerable to get their basic essentials at cost, with no hassle.
